Molly C. Mastoras is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia. She co-founded Safe Night, LLC with MPO (Ret.) Dimitrios Mastoras, in 2018. During her career, she has worked as an assistant program director for the Fairfax County Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Court, a social worker for the Fairfax County Office for Women and Arlington County Child Protective Services (CPS), and in private practice as a psychotherapist. When not working for Safe Night, she provides psychometric services in private practice, administering and writing psychological evaluations. Molly developed Proactive Alliance, a multi-disciplinary, relationship-based policing approach that has roots in counseling psychology theory and teaches police and enforcement agencies adapted therapeutic techniques to effectively develop and maintain community relationships.
She co-authored an article titled, Proactive Alliance, published in IACP Police Chief Magazine and Productive and Proactive featured in Sheriff & Deputy Magazine. Molly has presented the Proactive Alliance concept at the American Society of Evidenced-Based Policing (ASEBP) conference and the International Conference on Law Enforcement & Public Health (LEPH) conference. Molly also serves on the Board of Directors for the Washington Regional Alcohol Program (WRAP).
